About a year ago my mom made a deal with Rosie. When she gave up her pacifier (yes, she is now four and until a week ago still used her pacifier when she went to bed) she would take her to get her ears pierced. I talked to the dentist about the pacifier and he warned me that if I took it away she may very well start sucking her thumb. He recommended that we just leave her alone about the pacifier. Thankfully she finally decided that she is a big girl and wanted earrings. She wanted heart earrings but they didn't have hearts so she picked the daisies.

She shed a few tears right after the piercing but within a minute was dancing around the mall again.
