She is much better today but she's had a rough five days. In the middle of the day on Wednesday she started with the fever that lasted for four days. I took her to the doctor on Thursday since our neighbor had strep and Rosie was complaining of a sore throat and neck. She didn't have strep throat.
On Saturday afternoon she had a rash of tiny flat red spots all over her back. On Saturday night her fever was 103.3.
On Sunday morning she woke up with these spots covering her legs and most of her back. During the day they spread over most of her body. She even had a few on her face. Our pediatrician met us at the office yesterday afternoon (yes, on a Sunday) because he wanted to make sure it was a virus and not something more serious.
