OK. Today has been the best day of spring break thus far.
We packed a lunch and took it to the Wildlife Refuge that is about 4 minutes from our house. We also met some friends for a total of 7 children and 2 adults. We toured the inside of the refuge and watched a 9 minute informational video. Before we took a hike on the trail, we decided to enjoy our picnic lunch under a nice shady tree. The weather was perfect.
We spent a total of (roughly) three hours at the refuge. Afterwards it was time for a snack so we headed to a fast food restaurant for ice cream. Since everyone was enjoying just being together, we went to our friends house and let the kids play in the water from the hose.
Now, we are home. Dinner is nearly ready. John Henry should be home any minute.
It's been a good day.
